Position Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable (AR/AP) Manager to oversee our financial processing operations within our esteemed Science/Biotech firm. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a keen eye for detail and accuracy, have a strong understanding of financial principles, and will play a critical role in managing the inflow and outflow of finances that directly impact our scientific endeavors.

What You Will Do:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the AR/AP department including: invoice processing, daily bookkeeping records, ledger maintenance, and vendor/customer relations.Streamline AR/AP processes to increase efficiency and to ensure consistency and accuracy in the financial records
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper compliance with cross-departmental processes and procedures.
• Manage the collection process by monitoring AR aging reports, conducting credit assessments, and following up on outstanding invoices.
• Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers, maintaining accurate records and control reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, and assist with financial audits.
• Lead, train, and mentor AR/AP staff members, while also fostering a cooperative team environment.
• Efficiently Communicate AR balances to customers and internal sales team
• Develop and enforce a credit application policy

Qualities and Skills You Will Need:

• Proven expertise in AR/AP management, bookkeeping, and general ledger maintenance.Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical ability to grasp complex biotech financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for handling financial records.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team and work cross-functionally within a diverse organization.

Nice to Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5 years of direct experience in managing AR/AP with a demonstrated track record of success. Prior experience in the Science/Biotech industry is highly preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certifications preferred.Additional certifications such as Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) or Certified Accounts Payable Associate (CAPA) are advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
